What is the new treatment, you ask? As with most advanced aesthetics services being offered today, PlasmaLift implements the body’s natural ability to heal and reconstruct itself. This is also known as regenerative and/or holistic skincare.

During the procedure, a tiny plasma flash also known as an electrical arc is being discharged from the tip of the handpiece. The tool itself never touches the skin, however, a plasma flash creates a tiny carbon dot upon contact. There is no cut, incision, needle or blood. This innovative technology uses the sublimation process, turning solid directly to gas to tighten skin tissue. Targeted tissue sublimate, causing no damage to surrounding areas or deeper skin layers. A series of treatment points are applied to create a symmetrical grid over the treatment area. Effects are noticeable right away. However, it is very important to remember that with this treatment full results become visible after 8-12 weeks.  Visible healing occurs within 7 to 10 days during which time you may resume most of your regular activities right away with minimal discomfort. Most clients have simply reported a feeling of tightness and swelling that ranges from “noticeable and goofy” to “apparent but tolerable.”

Depending on the current state of your skin, or the amount of lifting/tightening required, anywhere from 1 to 3 treatments may be required. Each procedure will last about 1 hour with 30 minutes being used for paperwork, consultation, and numbing while the remainder of the time will be for the procedure itself. Results are permanent, however, we cannot stop the aging process. Therefore, additional maintenance treatments may be needed in 2-4 years after initial results are achieved depending on age, lifestyle, genetics, etc.

Please keep in mind that as I grow in the art of this technique, so will my patterns and procedures. I always err on the side of a cautious and conservative approach to procedures such as this. Again, as with any other practitioner offering PlasmaLift today, it may take 2 to 4 treatments to reach our desired result. These treatments will be scheduled at a minimum, 6-8 weeks apart.
